Synopsis

This year EuroCham Singapore has embraced the topic of the Sustainable Workforce as a part of the 2021 European Excellence in Sustainability Programme. The aim was to share knowledge and enhance understanding of the need for Sustainable Human Development in delivering New Value for Business and Society and understanding how organisations can better integrate Sustainable Human Development in their strategy and roadmap. How to become a leader by understanding innovations and best practices and know-how to take leadership for your sustainable workforce.

To cover the topic EuroCham has held two sharing sessions. One was on the topic of the need for Developing a Sustainable Workforce in the Transition towards a Green Economy. The session covered the transition towards green jobs and what organisations will have to consider in this regard.

The second session was on the topics of Singapore after COVID-19: Building a Sustainable Workforce and Society. The session covered government initiatives for building a sustainable workforce, how organisations can move their current workforce into a future workforce and what HR professionals need to keep in mind when looking at the sustainable workforce.

All of these sessions along with various other initiatives have laid the groundwork for EuroCham’s position paper on the Sustainable Workforce: How European Companies and Institutions contribute to Singapore’s Sustainable Workforce. EuroCham is proud to be able to launch this paper and would like to extend its gratitude to Dr Bob Aubrey, Chair of EuroCham’s Human Development Committee for writing the paper. Likewise, EuroCham would like to extend a thank you to all the contributors to the paper.

Please join us for the launch of the Sustainable Workforce: How European Companies and Institutions contribute to Singapore’s Sustainable Workforce paper and an engaging panel discussion with experts who provided their insights in the paper.
