Promoting careers in childcare to men

MITEY is working with PACEY on a project to promote careers in childcare to men as well as women, via Job Centre Plus.

As part of the project, we will be producing and sharing male-friendly careers advice resources, promoting “Careers in Childcare” sessions to a male audience, and delivering a webinar/ podcast for men thinking about joining the sector.

If you’re a man interested in a career in childcare – or you know men who might be – there are free online sessions happening on the following dates:

Thursday 4 November at 10am
Tuesday 9 November at 10am
Wednesday 17 November at 1pm
Thursday 18 November at 10am
Thursday 2 December at 10am
Monday 13 December at 1pm.

To take part, email PACEY with your preferred date, and they'll do the rest!

Could you inspire other men to take up a career in early childhood education and care?

We’re looking for a #MITEY man to share his experiences of working as an early years practitioner - or a manager (male or female) who is passionate about gender diversity in the early years workforce - for an online webinar at Sheffield Hallam University on 8 December.
