The Gambling Commission has received four final applications for the Fourth National Lottery licence competition.

This statistical release covers the quarterly gambling participation and problem gambling prevalence data for the year to September 2021.

The Gambling Commission collects data on consumer complaints within the gambling industry in different ways but brings them together in this report to provide a comprehensive picture of what we know.

Earlier this year, the Gambling Commission consulted on proposals to change the way it collects participation and prevalence statistics, a set of statistics which capture levels of gambling activity, problem gambling rate and gambling participation in Great Britain.

This month, we’ve taken the opportunity to delve into the results of our quarterly telephone survey from 2020 to see how gambling behaviours differ (if at all) amongst Black and Minority Ethnic Communities (BAME), compared to the overall population.
