Dear Greenhorns.

Falling fallen followed.

The sweet flesh of pumpkins.

Discernment, consequences, weatherizing.

We Greenhorns are focused on campus development, painting, roofing, wiring, siding, furbishment -- the better to host you with my dears.

With an October that feels like early June, we can get quite a lot done.

GET OUT and VOTE! for FOOD SOVEREIGNTY
IN MAINE!  TUESDAY NOV.2 2021

1. VOTE YES, on 3

In Maine we have an extraordinary opportunity to vote for FOOD SOVEREIGNTY and the Right to Food Act.

Here is the text of the proposed constitutional amendment:

Right to food. All individuals have a natural, inherent and unalienable right to food, including the right to save and exchange seeds, and the right to grow, raise, harvest, produce and consume the food of their own choosing for their own nourishment, sustenance, bodily health and well-being, as long as an individual does not commit trespassing, theft, poaching or other abuses of private property rights, public lands or natural resources in the harvesting, production or acquisition of food.

Participating in our own survival ( through personal food production and provision) does seem like a natural right, as members of a living world, this bill would put that right into law.

MAINERS !
Prove wrong the naysayers who say that “ amateurs shouldn’t grow their own food”.

VOTE YES FOR MAINE’s RIGHT TO FOOD Amendment on TUESDAY!

CLEAN WATER:

Mining Speculators given another chance in Maine ?!

Oh NO~

Bad news is also with us. The mine  company that we have been worried about in our watershed is currently drilling on ‘Big Hill.' This is a project the mining company calls “ Big Silver”. As you can imagine, with all the billions sloshing around this global economy, investors putting down big bets on wildcat speculators, little companies who specialize in quietly ‘opening up’ new mines. Wolfden Resources LLC is just such a company, last active in Burkina Faso, they are presently working on 2 projects here in Maine.

Earlier this month there was a meeting at the Maine LUPC ( Land Use Planning Commission) where we hoped that the state would REJECT Wolfden's application for re-zoning their Pickett Mountain site, but instead the state offered Wolfden the chance to withdraw, rework, reset and reapply.

This means Wolfden can reorganize, get another round of investment, hire effective lawyers and continue threatening the future of clean water in Maine. I recommend listening to the original audio here:
