A Message From Our Founder
|
|
Revitaled Reintegration Services was born in Durham Region, Ontario to fill a need in the community. After working with a family service agency in Durham, I realized the lack of services available to assist those reintegrating out of correctional facilities and building lives in Durham. Yes, there were brilliant organizations doing similar work, but none were using approaches that are critical to holistically addressing the diverse needs of correctional populations.
It was later brought to our attention that victims and survivors of crime were also in need of support services. We decided to include specific programming for these groups, in addition to correctional populations, to provide support to all those who feel loss and forgotten through the challenges brought on by the criminal justice system.
Revitaled proudly opened its doors to clients in August of 2021 offering culturally-specific and person-centered services. All of our programs are uniquely rooted in a foundation of faith-based values through providing non-denominational and holistic programming. We offer this diverse programming to encourage growth in all areas of the self. At Revitaled, we provide counselling, navigation, and support services to support former offenders, releasees, and victims/survivors of crime.
We are excited that you have decided to join our community. This e-newsletter is a great way to stay updated on Revitaled's activities - and we have plenty coming! If you are in need or know of someone who could benefit from our services, we encourage you to begin a dialogue with us to learn about how we can assist.
Sincerely,
Jasmyne Julien, B.A. (Hons.)
Founder and CEO of Revitaled Reintegration Services
