November 14th, 6-8 pm, Otties Tavern & Grill, Hilliard
Join Fr. Michael Hartge as he shares The Joy of Renewing the Church

Through Real Presence. Real Future. Our diocese is reimagining how the Church serves her people. This exciting initiative looks to the future of our diocese in light of the unique needs of people today, the needs of the culture around us, and the desire to form and activate Catholics to fulfill their baptismal call to become missionary disciples of our Lord and His Church to those in their everyday lives. Fr. Hartge will discuss this, in-process, initiative and how having a new Bishop will affect the process.

and other collaborating choral ensembles!

There is nothing like singing together as a group: sometimes in unison, sometimes in parts. And singing the great hymns in full voice is a way for people to reconnect with their faith, their cultural roots, and with their neighbors! Inspired hymn verse and the tunes which carry that poetry have enriched communities for centuries and continue to do so in a deep and meaningful way. The goal of the hymn festival is for LancasterChorale to invite local singers to participate in a joyous and reflective time of public song!
This season we are pulling out all the stops, literally and figuratively. Choirs from Central Ohio will be invited to sing side-by-side with our professional artists to create the 70-voice 2021 LancasterChorale Festival Chorus! In addition, professional instrumentalists will accompany the singing including a brass quartet and Sharon Silleck, the wonderful organist of our host, St Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. The 35 rank Austin pipe organ of St Mary’s will need all the stops pulled out to support the thunderous singing.
Titles for the Harvest Hymn Festival include: Now Thank We All Our God, How Great Thou Art, All Creatures of Our God and King, Lift Every Voice and Sing, Blessed Assurance, and many more. If you are new to hymnody, this event will be an inspiring jumping-off point for further exploration. If you are already a hymn enthusiast, our 2021 Harvest Hymn Festival will feed your soul with welcomed favorite tunes!

As in past years for the Hymn Festivals, we are asking you to a bring a donation of canned and boxed goods. These will be delivered to one of our local food charities.
