Area Competition
Summit Band has earned a spot to compete in the area marching contest this weekend at the Birdville complex. This is a BIG deal. The top 4 bands will be headed for STATE!!! Summit High School has not competed at the state level before. The band has worked really hard to get here and we need everyone to come out and support the program.
Tickets are only $5. Please encourage everyone you know to come out and see the best of the best perform this Saturday. The students have mentioned how great it is to hear the crowd cheer them on from the stands.

Surprise Send Off
We would like to surprise our hardworking kiddos with a powerful send off to the area competition on Saturday. Please join us in a fabulous party to send them off on the busses on Saturday. Feel free to make posters, bring pom poms, noise makers and of course wear your Summit blue. We will meet OUTSIDE the band hall (remember this is a surprise) close to 10:45AM and cheer on the students as they make their way down the ramps to load the buses.
We need more hands to feed and support our band on Saturday. We have a wonderful family donating breakfast burritos on Saturday before the band departs and then we will be feeding the kids dinner before finals. Please consider helping.

Friday Night Lights
This Friday is middle school band night. We will be hosting TA Howard Middle school in the stands. Boosters will be providing pizza and soft drink at half time. Please come out and volunteer to greet and feed our future Jaguars.

Competencia de Area
La Banda de Summit ha ganado una posicion de competir en el concurso de Bandas de musica este fin de semana en el complejo Birdville. Esto es algo GRANDE. Las primeras 4 bandas iran a la Competencia Estatal!!! La Escuela de Summit no ha competido en este nivel antes. La banda ha trabajado muy duro para poder llegar hasta aqui y necesitamos que todos vengan y apoyen nuestro programa. Los tickets cuestan solo $5. Por favor anime a todos los que conoce para que vengan este sabado y vean la mejor presentacion. Los estudiantes han mencionado que maravilloso es de escuchar a la multitud desde las bancas.

Sorpresa de Despedida
Nos gustaria sorprender a nuestros chicos trabajadores con una Sorpresa de despedida a la competencia AREA del dia Sabado. Por favor acompañenos a una fiesta fabulosa para mandarlos en los buses el Sabado. Sientance libres de hacer posters, traer pom poms, cosas ruidosas y claro usar el color azul de Summit. Estaremos afuera del salon de musica (recuerden esto es una sorpresa) mas o menos a las 10:45AM y motivar a nuestros estudiantes mientras caminan asia los autobuses.
Necesitamos mas manos para darles de comer y apoyar a nuestros estudiantes el Sabado. Tenemos a una familia maravillosa que donara un desayuno de burritos el Sabado antes que la banda salga y cena antes de las finales. Por favor consideren ayudarnos.

Este viernes sera la noche de la Banda de escuela intermedia. Estaremos alojando la escuela de TA Howard Middle en las gradas. Boosters estaran proveendo pizza y bebidas al medio tiempo. Por favor vengan y ayuden a saludar y dar de comer a nuestros futuros Jaguares.
