Join the LIBER Conference Programme Committee (CPC)
The CPC is a group of professionals (comprising LIBER participants) responsible for preparing the professional programme of LIBER Annual Conferences. The major goal of the CPC is to define the theme, topics, and keynote speakers of the conference to meet the needs of participants, and to review the submissions for papers and posters. CPC members’ names are also published on the LIBER website. The group is chaired by the LIBER Vice-President and coordinated by the Executive Director. Members are appointed by the chair of the group.

ALLEA (the European Federation of Academies of Sciences and Humanities) Publishes Statement ‘Equity on Open Access’. The statement aims to address how “gold” open access publishing routes and large read-and-write deals contribute to reinforcing and establishing inequitable structures within academic research. Read the statement prepared by ALLEA’s Open Science Task Force on the occasion of the 2021 International Open Access Week (25-31 October) here.
Society of College National and University Libraries (SCONUL) has released a joint statement and position paper on publisher barriers to affordable e-books and e-textbooks in the UK. As the paper sets out, without immediate action to secure ‘checks and balances’ in the e-textbook market, students may be excluded from access to content that is essential for their studies and their future success. Gresham College's Free Lecture Series. November - December 2021. The series is titled, 'Books, Libraries and Civilisation' and covers the history of books, libraries, and knowledge. DARIAH Working Group Open Meetings 2021. September - December 2021. DARIAH-EU and the DARIAH Working Groups invite you to a series of Open Meetings which will be held from September to December 2021 at 10:30-12:00 CEST/CET. The aim of these Open Meetings is to present current work undertaken by the Working Groups in 2020 and 2021 and share future plans, providing a space for exchange, dialogue and collaboration.
