November at Your Library

The Brainerd Public Library was established in 1899 and was a founding member of the Kitchigami Regional Library system in 1969. The Library's mission is to bring people, information, and ideas together to enrich lives and build community.

The Brainerd Public Library will be closed Thursday, November 11 for Veterans Day and Thursday-Friday, November 25-26, 2021 for Thanksgiving. We will close at 5 pm on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.

Adult Book Club

The Brainerd Book Club will meet on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at 1 pm on Zoom for our next book discussion: The House In The Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune. Get the link to join by registering below. Linus Baker, a by-the-book caseworker in the Department in Charge of Magical Youth. He's tasked with determining whether six dangerous magical children are likely to bring about the end of the world. Arthur Parnassus is the master of the orphanage. He would do anything to keep the children safe, even if it means the world will burn. Copies of this book are available at the front desk.

The Friends of the Brainerd Public Library book sale site at the Westgate Mall will be closed to shoppers in November to allow for reorganization and restocking. Donations are welcome every Tuesday in November from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at the former MarJons location in the Westgate Mall. Donations are not accepted at the Brainerd Library at this time.
