Changing Things Up!
New Look - New Website - New Events!

New Website

We are excited to share all of our upcoming BioBlitz! OK information on our redesigned website. We will also be adding more biodiversity content that isn’t strictly a BioBlitz! event.  So, we have expanded our scope and renamed our website “Oklahoma’s BioDiversity Learning Center.”  We are delighted to be planning a year of activities and events for our BioBlitz! OK community.

So Much Planned for 2022!

This year you will have lots of opportunities to engage with, explore, and enjoy Oklahoma’s biodiversity! We will be trying a number of different events and activities.

  • Week-long seasonal inventories
  • Full and half day field trips
  • New downloadable activities
  • Online presentations
  • Community science project highlights
  • Monthly eNewsletter

Winter BioBlitz! OK - Jan 28-Feb 4

We are kicking off 2022 with our first ever Winter BioBlitz! OK. We will have a week for a statewide inventory using iNaturalist and eBird, as usual.  People can participate where ever they are, but we are also going to host an in-person weekend! This will be our first in-person event in two years and our first EVER during the winter!

The Winter Camp Weekend will be Jan 28-30 at St. Crispin’s Conference Center + Camp, near Wewoka. Details and registration information will be posted in the coming weeks, but you can read about the event HERE.  Attendance will be limited, so to stay up to date on all the details by reading your eNewsletters and following our Facebook page.

Stay busy this fall with our new downloadable Autumn Activities! Grab a friend and head outside to explore! We have a BINGO style scavenger hunt sheet focusing on the organisms you can see in fall. And get a little artsy with the leaf rubbing activity!
