This week, we are thrilled to host orientation for the Appalachian Leadership Institute's newest fellows!
Over the next nine months, these leaders from all 13 Appalachian states will develop skills, hear expert speakers, exchange ideas, and ultimately be empowered to take actions that will strengthen Appalachia's future.
During their orientation session, fellows formed teams for the duration of the program, developed visions for the Appalachian Region, took a virtual trip to Appalachian Georgia, had a fireside chat with Black in Appalachia host Dr. Enkeshi El-Amin, and more.

One of the five refreshed investment priorities in ARC's new strategic plan is Building Community Leaders and Capacity.
Behind strong communities are passionate leaders with the capacity to innovate, collaborate, and create change. This is exactly why ARC launched the Appalachian Leadership Institute!
The program is designed to help leaders, from all walks of life, develop those skills.
