It was a joy to celebrate our parish's Centennial this past Saturday at the Lancaster Marriott. It was an evening filled with fond memories, gratitude for all the blessings God has bestowed upon us, and hope for a bright future.
A big thank you to our Centennial Committee: Tina Georges (Chairperson); Jonathan Speros (Banquet Chairperson), and Andrea Phillips!
We also thank Niko Veronis and John and Sandy Morphesis for the phenomenal Centennial Video, which captivated the audience and made us all appreciate the rich history and fond memories that have been forged over the last 100 years of our parish life!
Each family at the banquet received a copy of the beautiful Centennial Directory and Ad Book, which will be made available for pick up at the next two Coffee Fellowships and during regular church office hours (one book per family) for anyone who was not able to come to the banquet. We thank Gina Donnelly, Litsa Monahas, Steve Marinos, Kim Keares, Eleni Mamas, and Elena Bartlett for putting together this fantastic book!
We thank all the committee members who helped to decorate and who worked together to make our Saturday evening banquet a huge success.
On Sunday morning we had a festive hierarchical Divine Liturgy with Metropolitan Savas, who offered a special memorial service for the clergy and laity of our parish who have been laid to rest. It was a beautiful service which was followed by a festive coffee fellowship hour, with our Pre-K - 4th Grade children singing a song for His Eminence and offering him gifts.
Glory to God for a beautiful weekend of celebration and prayer!
In Christ's love,
Fr. Hector
