We are grateful to everyone who participated in Farms Forever Week!
2021 Farms Forever was a great success! Thank you to everyone who registered for our event and supported Farms Forever week in some way this year! We had so much fun supporting local businesses as they supported our mission for the NEW Farms Forever Local-vore event. We received such great feedback from our participating businesses, we can’t wait to try this event again with even more local businesses! If you got in on the auction action, you know it was exciting to watch the live bids coming in as our auction thermometer continued to rise! We’ve also gotten a lot of great feedback on how smooth everything ran this year. Thank you for your praises, it’s great for our team to feel recognized for all their hard work! We are grateful to our Board of Directors for their generous match campaign donations. A deeply rooted thank you to all of our community members and businesses that supported, donated, won/bid on auction items, and shared The Community Farm Land Trust’s important work of; preserving local farmland, keeping it in active farming now and for future generations, and making it more affordable for small farmers in the South Sound.
Let’s take a little deeper dive into the Success that YOU made happen for 2021 Farms Forever.
We are happy to report that while the numbers are still coming in, we have exceeded our goal of $28,000. In fact, we pulled in about $23,000 from the online auction which includes online donations, sponsorships, tickets, and won bid amounts on auction items. Our generous board offered two match campaigns to raise that total another $7000! Our New Farms Forever Local-vore event numbers are still coming in, but so far we raised $1324! In addition, we have received several donations by mail, bringing our total to over $31,500!
Over the years we had seen a significant drop in the amount of people actively participating in our fundraising goals whether having winning bids or contributing a financial donation. We are really excited to announce that we raised our active participation level by 10%! This means a little over 1/2 of the people that registered for our event participated by donating, purchasing a ticket, or having a winning bid. If you are part of the 45% that still has not contributed financially to our Farms Forever fundraising campaign, please note, we are still accepting donations through our online auction platform.
