From Golden Aspens to Golden Skies!

What a month! And it's not over yet! I failed to get this out on the "ides" because I was on a plane to the Outer Banks, NC, for one of the most memorable reunions ever. One of my West Point classmates--"Proud to be '83!"--invited women from several classes to her beach house, and despite this pesky pandemic, Mike encouraged me to go!

This was the only day I did not swim in the ocean!

I had no idea what to expect from those 5 days in the land of ocean air and oxygen, but I returned home with such a full heart--and just a bit of sand in my ears!

"Old Grad" beach toes!

I got to know the most remarkable women from my own class and those that followed, and I'm convinced that every night we all danced off the M&Ms we ate during the day! I'm going to write more about my experience and do a podcast episode about it soon, but figured I'd make you all just a little jealous with a few glorious photos before I compose. Can you smell the salty breeze?

My classmate Mimi Finch and her famous sunrise pose!

I returned home yesterday, the 19th, which marked the 4th anniversary of my Mum's death, and once again I marvel at how quickly we pass through time. I know she was with me on this trip--she was always a firm believer in the importance of girlfriends in a woman's life--though she never would have dove through those waves with me!

We witnessed every sunrise!

And now, time to prep for FanExpo Denver, Halloween weekend! I'll have quite different photos next month!

Stay well, my friends, and take breaks from news and social media (except my newsletters!) every once in a while! I'm on Sabbatical from Facebook and Instagram now (for a year, possibly forever!), and I've never felt so free!

Give it a try!
:)

Be kind to yourself. Still wash your hands . . . lots, and please stop complaining about wearing a mask around others. No one likes them, but masks, social distancing, and vaccinations are scientifically proven ways to help prevent the spread of all kinds of viruses.
