Both machines had a hidden, crippling issue that included a faulty y motor on Laser 2 and a dead interlock PCB on Laser 1. There were many other smaller issues that were resolved in the hunt for these culprits, so finally we can say the fleet is in great shape!
We learned improved maintenance protocols during our trainings, and we'll ask every user to do their part to contribute to this maintenance moving forward. Many of the steps boil down to reserving 15 minutes per session to perform thorough cleanings with new cleaners. We will be posting specific instructions in the laser area shortly.
Thank you to everybody who helped resurrect the machines right before the holidays! Alex, Josie, Eric and Marc and Scott from NorthEast Engravers all invested a lot of time and energy into these repairs on behalf of our community. And members who have been patiently waiting to get back to work, we thank you too!
