A Word from Pastor Sam
Good morning church,
I have a very exciting, two-part announcement. First, the Chili Cook-off is returning on November 13th! Be sure to mark your calendars. Second, Pastor Dave will preach his first sermon on Sunday, November 14th! Dave and the elders had originally planned for Dave to begin preaching in October, but Dave had a small delay. Apparently, November was God's plan.
Chili Cook-off, in addition to being a wonderful time of fellowship and fun for our church, will also serve as an evening of welcome for Pastor Dave, so please make plans to attend. The sign-up is open on Sunday mornings for chili and brownie-making competitors. Let us come together that weekend and enjoy God's grace in our lives and in the life of our church.

PRAYER FOCUS
Church, let us pray for one another. Sports, work, holidays, and other factors tend to make this Fall season incredibly busy. Let us pray for one another. Let us pray that in the midst of this busy season, that we will all be able to experience the blessings of fellowship and of God's grace daily. Let us pray.

It's an exciting time in the Fellowship Kids' Ministry! We are gradually seeing more and more kids (Toddlers through 5th grade) coming back to church. Over the course of one child's year, we have 52 opportunities (if they come to church every single Sunday) to connect with their family, influence them and share the Gospel message of Jesus. As our classes grow at the 9am service, and we look forward to opening classes for the 10:45 service, we need a few great people to step in to lead (using hands-on/video led curriculum by Orange), play, sing, game, and just enjoy sharing Jesus with Fellowship Kids! Substitutes are always needed too! If you can commit a semester, or month or just one or two Sundays a month, Fellowship Kids may be just the place for you to serve! Contact Michelle Douglas at fellowshipkidsbatesville@gmail.com, stop by the Welcome Desk and check out the schedule, or call the church office (870) 698-9244 Monday - Thursday. Let's help train up the next generation!

Fellowship Kids' Ministry
Here's what to expect on Sundays:
- We will continue to have Fellowship Kids during first service only. Please pray about volunteering - we'd love to have it during both services!
- All families should Check in at the computer on the first floor and receive a name tag for each child and a tag for adult.
- All kids will check in and go right to their classrooms.
- This fall K-5 will worship together then break into small groups for their Bible Story and activities.
- The Toddler and PreK rooms are staffed with wonderful volunteers ready to share God's amazing story with them through worship, video lesson, and memory verse activities! Water and snack provided! Let us know if there is an allergy!!
- The Nursery is open as a Cry Room for parents of children under one. Audio of the sermon is available in that room along with any toys or changing needs.

Fun and Safe Halloween on Main!
Fellowship Students will be in costume handing out candy and water in front of the Landers on Saturday, October 30th, in conjunction with Fun and Safe Halloween on Main Street! We will need LOTS of candy! It can be left at the Welcome Center Desk or the office - whatever is more convenient for you. Dress up that night and join us!!

OCC Shoeboxes!!
Thank you to everyone who came to pack Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes at the Poseys, and especially those who brought their kiddos! Operation Christmas Child is a ministry that sends boxes filled with necessities to children in war-torn and impoverished areas around the world. Our children need to learn about giving and sharing the blessings we have.
If you'd like to participate in OCC, you can give at the office Monday through Thursday, or on Sunday by dropping your gift in the offering box. Be sure to designate it for OCC Shoeboxes on your check or envelope. If you want to pack boxes, please contact Faith Posey at 870.805.8049, or call the church office.

Women's Hike!
We have a women’s hike at Mountain View planned for Saturday, November 13th. We will meet at the Exxon in Southside at 8:15am to carpool, or meet at the trailhead at 9:15am. The exact trail will be decided soon.
The hike will be around 4 miles and can take about 2-3 hours to complete. We will plan to eat lunch afterward in Mountain View.

Diaper Drop-off for our coming babes!
We are having a diaper drive for a couple of our moms-to-be! Danielle Adams and Brenda Rivera already have kiddos, so they don't need everything, but these new littles will need diapers, wipes, etc.!!
There will be a basket in the lobby of the Landers for your gifts. Danielle prefers Pampers Pure diapers and wipes, and Brenda would like size 3 diapers, no preferred brand. Let's bless them!!

Mom's Day Out at Fellowship!
Mom's Day Out is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 until 12:30 for kiddos 6 weeks to 5 years old. You can call the Fellowship office at 870-698-9244 for more info on MDO. We can always use subs, so please contact Carrie Swinea at 870-974-0153 for more info on being a sub. Please know we will take all health precautions with your kiddos. Hope to see you there!
