Welcome to the latest 4PLAS newsletter, this month, in light of the seemingly endless supply and pricing issues we wanted to let you know what we are doing to try and keep ahead of market conditions.

We all continue to see exceptional volatility across all polymers as well as many of the additives we use to produce our Compounds.

Many polymers are in or have been in Force Majeure and even those that haven't continue to be restricted only leading to ever increasing prices. Recently we have seen glass fibres become short and in the last few weeks a bad situation in FRABS supply has become worse due to shortages of flame retardants .Supplies of feed materials used in re-compounding and recycling Polypropylene have made supply very difficult.

Over the course of 2021 we have tried to predict when the supply position would start to ease and we must admit any predictions made have not come to pass, and we must finally admit that these exceptional conditions will probably continue into 2022.

Many of us in this industry have seen price increases and shortages in the past, but generally this has been in one polymer group not across all, and theses issue have lasted weeks and months.

More recent issues on shipping & transport delays and costs have made life even more difficult for us all. However we at 4PLAS make our ability to support our customers our number one responsibility and we will continue to do so.

We are not standing still and we have been busy behind the scenes increasing our warehouse capacity, continually testing and changing to new shipping routes, as well as and securing our supply chains and developing back up solutions as best as we can in the current climate.

Of course our customers have seen continual price hikes which seem to have no end, and we are watching these prices continually and will pass on any reductions if and when they come, in the mean time our priority is supply security and we are proud of the fact that we have by and large been able to keep our customers supplied and supported.

in order to assist our customers further and to ensure we maintain our very high levels of service we are recently completed a recruitment programme, with Kara being promoted to Office Manager and Karli and Tamara joining our Customer Service team .
