Deadline is Friday for nominations for Outstanding Staff Awards

This award honors and recognizes UToledo employees who have made a significant impact to the University through outstanding dedication and accomplishments; who have contributed to and demonstrated a commitment to the University's core purpose and values; and who demonstrate exceptional leadership and loyalty to the University.
 

Criteria:

The nominee will have the following characteristics:
  • Motivates and inspires the people around them to strive for excellence within the UToledo community; assists others toward achieving professional goals and achievements.
  • Actively works as a team member who strives to make innovative and improving contributions to the University of Toledo.
  • Exhibits loyalty and a high ethical standard to the UToledo community. Staff member demonstrates behavior which clearly and consistently reflects the mission statement of The University of Toledo.
 

Eligibility:

Eligible nominees must be current full- or part-time (20 hours or more) UToledo staff members from any campus who are from AFSCME, CWA, UTPPA, or the Professional Staff Association (non-union employees) with at least two years of service. Previous award recipients, faculty and senior administration are not eligible.
 

Nomination Process:

The nomination form must be completed and submitted by Oct. 22, 2021.

A selection committee will determine the award recipients and notify those selected. The five recipients chosen will be presented with a monetary reward and engraved memento.

Share Your COVID-19 Vaccine Status ASAP

Rockets protect Rockets. Help keep campus safe.

If you have not yet uploaded your proof of vaccination against COVID-19, please do so as soon as possible. It is important that the University has an accurate assessment of the vaccination rate within our campus community in order to make data-driven public health decisions.

Every member of The University of Toledo community needs to share their COVID-19 vaccination status through the University’s secure vaccine registry portal.

All UToledo students and employees, including those working on campus and working remotely, are required to be vaccinated or have an approved exemption by Nov. 15, but please don’t wait until the last minute to submit your information.

Consider donating to the Sick Leave Bank during Open Enrollment October 1-31

This Sick Leave Bank (SLB) provides help for Professional Staff Association members who have exhausted their own vacation and sick hours due to a personal catastrophic illness or injury.

Please consider joining the Sick Leave Bank and helping your coworkers who may need assistance now or in the future. This is one bank from which we truly hope you will never need to make a withdrawal!

The Professional Staff Association (PSA) of The University of Toledo consists of all classified exempt, classified salaried, and unclassified administrative and professional employees who do not belong to a bargaining unit and do not have faculty rank. The group of approximately 1,200 employees
was officially recognized by the University in 1992.

The Professional Staff Council (PSC) is the elected body that represents PSA to the administration on topics such as compensation, changes in health benefits, assisting with the Outstanding Staff Awards and other various issues.
