We're always looking for more ways to use apples in the fall - and if they involve custard, even better! So we're definitely intrigued by this take on gateau invisible, a French cake where thinly sliced apples meld into a rich, custardy batter. White miso is used to enrich the batter and caramel glaze in this version as an acknowledgment of the cake's popularity in Japan.

We've been getting questions about how long our market stays open and the answer is: year round! We'll be staying outside into November to make sure that everyone has lots of space at the market for as long as possible. Keep an eye out on our website, Instagram, and this newsletter for updates.

Thanks for continuing to wear your masks while you are in the market. The narrow walkways of our market can make distancing difficult, but leaving your masks on helps all of our community be supported and safe.

Vendor Spotlight

Dundas Park Kitchen has the pies you want, whether you're looking for something pocket-sized or family-sized, savoury or sweet. Alex and Melanie work with farmers like Buschbeck Farms and Nith Valley Organics to showcase local, seasonal ingredients. Our favourites? The curry lamb pies and ultra-seasonal potato and wild leek handpies. You can follow them at @dundaspark.

Online Ordering and Pick Up

Many of our vendors have set up online ordering systems; you can find the links above through their websites. This is a great way to make sure you get your pies while keeping your shopping time down. Please note that some vendors are using our order pick up service, in collaboration with the Toronto Farmers’ Market Collective, at the market entrance next to the splash pad on Walkway 5.

Orders can be picked up at the pickup depot between 8 am and 12 pm. Please make sure to confirm your pickup location when you place your orders; some vendors are doing pick ups at their stalls.
