Clearing work is the a fundamental part of self-healing and connection work. It's like brushing our teeth. If we don't regularly brush our teeth, we cannot be surprised to have cavities, or other mouth/teeth problems. The same applies to truth. As you have probably already guessed there are just as many different types clearing ans self-clearing. To find what is right for you, and what works, regular meditiation, prayer, energy healing sessions and self-reporting can show you the way. However, for persistent, livelong, or chronic issues working with a holistic healer is needed.
Clearing What Blocks Us

When we notice that something in our life is out of balance or just doesn’t feel right (and is not a medical problem) our typical thought process is, that there must be something within us that isn’t supposed to be there. Based on our symptom-oriented conditioning, it’s natural that we want the problem to be gone – we want it diagnosed, removed, and fixed. However, with energy work, you will find that most of your inner energetic dissonances cannot be approached this way, at least not if we are looking for long-term results.
Energetic blocks are very often linked to our unconscious aspects, such as trauma, shadow, karmic set-up, past lives, inner child, or overall emotional and mental programming and can therefore only be ‘cleared’ if we are willing to face some of our deeper aspects of Self. If you are serious about engaging in this inner consciousness work you will find that a little education and inner soul searching not seldom leads to eye-opening insights in regards to our practical daily environment, behavior patterns, and hidden inner sentiments or belief systems. The notion that an energetic clearing could take care of all these different aspects at once, or for good is therefore not realistic.
Our daily behaviors and attitudes determine our energetic propensities. Blocks that have built up throughout our lives weave themselves into our habits, perspectives and perceptions. Many of these habits have to do with the interaction between us and the world. Every single of our daily activities, such as moving around, working, shopping, driving in traffic, talking to others, doing sports, eating and engaging in recreational activities create an inner reaction, physical, emotional, intellectual, and energetic friction. Sensations, emotions, thoughts, people or places can have different effects on us, they can stress or relax us, make us feel we need to defend or protect ourselves, or can make us feel safe or uneasy. Without knowing exactly or being able to pinpoint what it is, the energies of people, places or situations can trigger our blocks, fears or unconscious coping behaviors.
Simple grounding with breathing, meditating, exercising or eating can teach how to keep ourselves more present with our own energy; with self-centering we can make ourselves feel more save and stabelize from within. Both helped us to better discern what's ours and what isn't, and also how to become more aware of our boundaries. The purpose of Self-Clearing is to become able to remove the top-layer of this residue when we feel overwhelmed or stressed by momentary states, situations, places or people we interact with.
However, most of us are new to energy healing techniques and find it difficult to choose or discern which kind of clearing modality is right for us. There are many different ways to approach the healing of energetic imbalances, dissonances, fragmentations, blocks, attachments, ties, implants, or projections, just to name a few. Herbs, sound/music, crystals, shamanism, hands-on healing, body-work and even therapy and coaching can assist us in clearing some of these states, but usual depend on booking a session with someone or going somewhere. If we want to clear ourselves, many of us try taking a bath, taking a walk in nature, exercising, meditating, reading or watching a movie. They can work to get past the intensity of our stress, but sometimes neither of them work, or we can't muster the energy to do them.
But let's back up. First we need to determine when we need to self-clear. If our intuitive clearing methods don't work, or if we need to resort to unhealthy methods, such as alcohol, drugs, excessive eating, thinking, or watching tv it can trigger even worse states, such as isolation, self-defeat, depression or even anxiety. If you are experiencing the following symptoms on a regular basis and your healthy coping isn't enough, it can be advisable to apply self-clearing:
- Feeling chronically tired, foggy, directionless, worthless
- Sleeplessness, anxiety, nightmares
- Feeling lifeless, disconnected from others and oneself
- Experiencing unexplainable or compulsive emotions or thoughts
- Not being able to address addictions, eating disorders or trauma
- Spiritual Pain ('feeling forsaken or bad')
- Physical problems that cannot be diagnosed/cured with school medicine or seeking alternatives for healing disease
- Hearing voices, feeling like somebody is with us at all times; feeling stalked by somebody
- Seeing, sensing or feeling ‘weird’ things we cannot really share with a doctor/counselor without being afraid to be labeled as mentally disturbed
The focus of energetic self-clearing is not on the symptom, but the underlying energetic imbalance, it addresses our interconnected holistic mental, emotional, physical and etheric state of health. Energy work often works in all areas at the same time and is therefore suitable as supplemental or supporting modality to traditional therapies, such as medical treatment, counseling, acupuncture, bodywork, physical therapy, chiropractic, etc. Once we are more familiar with our own energy, we will be able to pinpoint energetic blocks ourselves, but until we actively learn to read our own energy it will be difficult for us to know if we are dealing with an energetic implant, karmic tie, etheric attack or energetic fragmentation.
So, the point of regular self-heailng work is know our energy well enough, so that you can pick up on slower energies in certain areas and to become able to self-clear the remove residue before it can develop into chronice conditions.
