There is always something to be thankful for...

November is traditionally a time of gratitude and reflection.   Claremore has been blessed with so many wonderful community partners that really allows it to be a place people want to be.  Come enjoy the numerous events happening around town from the Pumpkin Festival to the Victorian themed Christmas Festival, there is something that surely sparks your interest.  Whatever it is you decide to do, enjoy our town and know we are thankful for you.  

It is the season of pumpkin EVERYTHING and Shepherd's Cross will deliver a healthy dose at the Pumpkin Festival. September 21 - November 6, Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 am - 6:30 pm.
Explore Activities on the 80-Acre Farm with over 60 fun filled indoor and outdoor activities.  Whether you want to stroll through the pumpkin patch for that perfect pumpkin or play a game of rope the cow, there is a fun activity for everyone!

The Will Rogers Motion Picture Festival is a 4 day event the celebrates the Hard Work and Creativity of Filmmakers around the world.  Join us November 3rd - 6th as we celebrate the 142nd Birthday of Claremore's own Will Rogers. 
Not only will we celebrate the amazing movie career of Will Rogers but we will honor today's filmmakers during the Festival with contest submissions from around the world.   Passes are required for this family friendly event.

Don't forget to shop local and enjoy all of the places and things that  Downtown Claremore has to offer!  Shops downtown will participate in the Holiday open House on November 2nd from 6pm-8pm with drawings, discounts and refreshments.

To celebrate our Veterans, join us for a flag retirement ceremony at 9:30 am at the Claremore Expo Center’s circle drive followed by the parade.  Claremore’s Veterans Day parade will be Thursday November 11th starting at 11:11 am and will route from the Claremore Expo Center to downtown Claremore. Join the community in paying tribute to our men and women who have served in the Armed Forces.

Come out and enjoy our community tree lighting event on November 18th located in the Ne-Mar Center parking lot. Festivities will begin at 6:00pm with music, hot cocoa, cookies and a maybe even a jolly fella in a red suit.

Make plans on November 19th and 20th to attend  Dickens on the Boulevard.  It is a Victorian-themed Christmas Festival held annually in historic downtown Claremore.  Beginning at 6 pm each evening, visitors will enjoy live stage entertainment, food, pictures with Santa and more. A Victorian street dance will be held both nights of the event and a territorial marshal re-enactment will entertain crowds with plenty of Western-themed action. Living window displays will pepper the downtown area while an artisan village will feature living history demonstrations. Visitors will be able to learn about life in the Victorian era while re-enactors portraying blacksmiths, spinners, wood carvers, potters and more answer questions from the crowd and sell their wares.
