It would be hard to imagine a better Annual Meeting than the one we just had. I was so encouraged by the sweet fellowship as we worshiped together. Dr. Randy Davis preached a powerful message that was both a challenge and encouragement to those who heard it. If you would like to hear it, we have posted his message on our TVBA Facebook Page. We were also blessed by the special music provided by Dayton First Baptist. In case you missed the meeting, here are some of the actions taken at the meeting
The Associational Council motioned, and it was approved, to name the page that honors the deceased from the previous year, the “Clyde Fitzgerald Jr. Memorial Page”.
Pastor Milton Knox was honored for his 33 years of service at Dayton First Baptist and the Tennessee Valley Baptist Association.
The Mission Committee made motions, and they were approved, to purchase a trailer for the purpose of starting a local feeding team. The primary use for the trailer will be used to feed victims and/or workers in cases of emergency or disaster. The trailer may also be used for other mission opportunities. The funding for the trailer, and equipment, came from an anonymous couple in our Association. This couples generous gift is an example of the spirit of unity that exist in our Association as we work together for the glory of God.
From,
Your Fellow Pastor and DOM
