Save the date: Teacher-Powered Schools National Conference, November 3-6, 2022 in Minneapolis

Let’s try this again, shall we?

Last year’s conference was set for Minneapolis before you helped us pivot to a successful virtual event. But real talk: We miss you all! And we have new friends to meet, sites to see, and teacher-powered schools to visit.

We’ll open a call for workshop session proposals this winter—and share the theme, schedule, and special events we’re working on. But for now we wanted to get this on your calendars. See you in Minneapolis!

TEACHER-POWERED DAYS
THANK YOU to all who attended our various national and regional events going on this month. We hope these opportunities have helped recharge your teacher power!

See the photos below from Washtenaw Alliance for Virtual Education (WAVE) in Michigan. They welcomed five community agencies, two area superintendents, students, family, and alumni to their open house Wednesday.

If you missed our national network event, it’s now available on YouTube. In it, we talk about the Call for Personalized Learning Survey—which helps teams evaluate the level of student choice and ownership at their site.

“Digging deeper into virtual school visits using student-centered principles”

Join us October 26 at 4pm CT for a workshop to help make the most of virtual school visits. It’s a practice we’ve gotten used to in the Covid era, but one vital to teacher-powered schools spread across the country—without unlimited travel budgets.

Hosted by our friends at the MN Learner-Centered Network, this free workshop is the final offering of the 2021 Teacher-Powered Days. Select the October 26 event at the link.

$50 for Teacher-Powered Schools—or if you have teams outside our network that would like to participate, they can use the code TPS2021 for 50% off the regular $100 rate. We encourage teams to participate together.
