Here is a Truth: Someone Wants What You Have to Offer

This month marks the launch of Cairn Connect, a brand new and innovative online platform for alumni to meet, network, find each other, and be found.  What's more, this database and our efforts in the alumni relations office are now synergized with the new Pathway Center. A ground-up reboot of the Career Service office has produced a new partnership between alumni relations and the Pathway Center. These efforts will provide students with (among many other things) early access to our alumni network (that's you!) from their first day as a student all the way through to their first day as an alum.

If you are a luddite, or social media shy, don't worry. Cairn Connect is (to borrow a brand) for Cairn and by Cairn, so it's our own private online sphere in which alumni can interact independent of other more public social media platforms.

In sharing this exciting development with you, I am also asking you to create a profile. The fact is someone is looking for what you have or can offer: your experience, your knowledge, your business, your services, your caring spirit—even just your interest in the outdoors, the theater, community service, writing, discipleship, shooting clay pigeons, or knitting. We are a diverse alumni.

Cairn Connect is big. It's a brand new foundation buttressing a massive opportunity for you to engage Cairn in a way that works for you and to meet the needs of a fellow alum or current students. There's much more to come (you will see emails sent inviting you soon!) but it all starts with you creating your profile. Please set aside a time (or do it right now) to create your profile and join this exciting opportunity for us to strengthen our alumni association from the ground up.
