The 2021-22 Charter Reporting and Request Deadlines document is available on the Deadlines page of the OCS website. Please review this document and ensure that individuals responsible for reporting/providing the requested information for your school(s) are aware of all relevant deadlines.
Please make a note of the following upcoming deadlines:
- January 3, 2022: Attendance Report for Month 5 (11/22/21-12/17/21), P1 cumulative report (Day 1 - 12/17/21), and Student Exit report due to Minh Co (minh.co@ousd.org).
- January 7, 2022: Board Member Information updates due in Reporting Center. Email Madison Thomas (madison.thomas@ousd.org) with any questions.

Amended Board Policy 5141.29 COVID 19 Student Vaccine Requirement
On Wednesday, December 1, the OUSD Board approved an amendment to the COVID-19 Student Vaccine Requirement policy. The updated policy is available on the OCS website here.
In particular, two changes were made: (1) clarifying that a student is exempt from the vaccine requirement if they are enrolled in an all-virtual instructional program (not only the District's distance learning program), and (2) updating the enforcement timeline such that no student shall be disenrolled under the Policy prior to January 31, 2022.
Board Policy Community Engagements
Community engagement sessions on proposed updates to the charter authorization Board Policy have been postponed and will be rescheduled for dates in January and February 2022. Once those dates are confirmed, we will share that information in this newsletter and here on our website. The proposed language for BP 0420.4 from October's Charter Committee meeting, as well as the Spanish and Chinese translations of the proposed language, can be found here on our website.

Upcoming meeting (December 9): The upcoming Charter Committee meeting will include a charter school spotlight presentation by KIPP Bridge Academy, an overview of the Office of Charter Schools budget, and an overview of the lease fees paid by charter schools on district property.
