Workshop Leader News #2. - View this email in your browser

Dear <<First Name>>,

Thank you for offering your skills and talents for our 54th Discoveree.

We have completed our schedule for Discoveree 2022.  Please find your workshop(s) and make sure the schedule meets your needs.

At this point, we can not change the schedule because you prefer a different time slot.  Only if you see a conflict that will prevent the schedule from working as presented.  Many hours have gone in to trying to meet all the requirements our workshop leaders included when submitting their workshop information.  But we may have missed something.

See a problem?  Please contact Kim McCoy.

Thanks for your help with our review.

The Discoveree Team
Discoveree 2022 Schedule

Everything below this block was included in the first email.
We are repeating it here for your convenience.

Reminder COVID Vaccination Requirement

Protocols to keep everyone safe at the event are currently under development in conjunction with Council and will be released as soon as they are finalized.  We have determined that everyone that is attending must submit proof of COVID vaccination prior to attending.  There will be NO exceptions to this rule.  If this is an issue for you, please contact discoveree2022@gmail.com as soon as possible.

What's Next

We want to keep you in the loop.  So here is what will be happening over the next several months:
  • November - Workshop Brochure and Online Registration System Developed.  Please be sure to review the brochure when we send it to you.
  • December - Workshop Registration opens.  Please be sure to register as a Workshop Leader (there will be an option in Doubleknot).  Registration is free and you can sign up for workshops in sessions where you are not leading a workshop.  You can also choose your free lunch.
  • January - Workshop Registration continues.  Please make sure your workshop is prepared and that you have all your questions answered.
  • February - Discoveree on February 26th.  Bring your supplies, your handouts, your receipts, and your excitement.  Remember you get preferred parking!

Helpful to Know...

Nothing has changed since the last email.  When there are updates, they will be highlighted in blue.

Whether you're an experienced workshop leader or new to our crew, here are some helpful things to know...
  • NEW!  REGISTRATION -  Workshop leaders may bring ONE Co-leader and both must register using Doubleknot.  We will send out the registration link once registration opens. Please let us know if you have a co-leader that is not currently listed in your workshop confirmation above.  In the past, we asked workshop leaders to register only if they wanted to take other workshops.  This year we are asking all workshop leaders to register so that we have a complete picture of ALL our attendees in one place.
  • SUPPLIES & REIMBURSEMENT -  We know that workshop supplies (materials or handouts) cost money and we want to cover these costs.  Workshop leaders have a budget of $4 per participant.  Outdoor cooking workshops have a $5 per participant budget.  Bring your receipts to the event.  You'll have an opportunity to fill out your reimbursement request.  Expect to receive your reimbursement about 6 weeks after the event.
  • NEW!  RECEIPTS - Supplies for the event must be the ONLY item on the receipts that you turn in and original receipts must be turned in.
  • PARTICIPANT NUMBERS - Workshop leaders will receive periodic updates regarding the number of participants registered for their workshop.  More information on when you can expect a final headcount will follow.
  • NEW!  SAME DAY REGISTRATION - Will not be allowed due to COVID restrictions.
  • CHECK IN - Workshop Leaders have a special space to check in, relax, enjoy some tasty treats, get their lunch, ask questions, and turn in materials.  You will receive a folder when you check in with your schedule, map of the school, evaluations for your workshop(s), and instructions on how to turn in your receipts.
  • PARKING - Workshop Leaders get special parking close to the event.  We know you have a lot of stuff to haul!  We hope to have girl helpers available with a limited number of wagons to help you transport your materials.  Materials can be stored in the workshop leader room until needed.
  • NEW!  LUNCH - Workshop Leaders (and the one Co-Leader) receive a free lunch as our thank you for your help with the event.  Be sure to select your lunch when you register.  You will be able to pick it up in the Workshop Leader room.
  • LOCATION - Our event is being held at the SAME school as the 2020 event, Itliong-Vera Cruz Middle School in Union City (map).  The entrance to the parking lot is next to the fields off New Haven Street.  NEW!  Due to COVID restrictions, this will be the ONLY way to enter the event.
  • SCHEDULE - The schedule will be sent out in a future mailing.
