Roundtable Event: Plans of Safe Care
The next Roundtable event will be January 6th at 1:00 pm central time. All are welcome as staff from three hospitals share how they have implemented plans of safe care for newborns affected by maternal substance use. In addition, a representative from DHHS will present an overview and answer questions aboout plans of safe care. Nebraska's state 2020 mPINC report on the status of breastfeeding practices in our hospitals is now available. Since the data was collecte in 2020, staff from several hospitals participated in Certified Lactation Counselor training and are now actively working to improve practice. It is expected that the 2022 mPINC will show significant improvement. NPQIC continues to hold web meeting every other month for hospitals to learn from each other on how to improve practices.
