Fall 2021 Competitive League Playoff Match Schedules
*CORRECTED REFEREE SCHEDULE BELOW*
DCPVL PLAYOFF MATCH RULES
- No substitute players will be allowed during the playoffs unless in the case of a team member’s injury.
- Playoff matches are best of 3 sets with first 2 sets starting at 0-0, play to 25, rally score, win by 2, and a cap at 27. The third and deciding set starts at 0-0, play to 15, rally score, switch sides at 8, win by 2, no cap.

If you are unable to play, please consider volunteering! We need all of the help we can get because of the NAGVA COVID protocols that are in place. The following dates/times are available:
- Friday, November 26th: Registration @Pitchers, 7-10pm (Registration, Shirt Distribution)
- Saturday, November 27th: Pool Play & Elimination Play Start @UMD-College Park; All Day (Court Runners, Cleaners, General Administration needs)
- Sunday, November 28th: Elimination Play Day, @UMD-College Park (Court Runners, Cleaning, General Admin needs)

League COVID Protocols
- DCPVL will follow NAGVA Return to Play Guidelines as closely as possible.
- In compliance with the local mandate, face masks/coverings will be required to be worn by all players at all times, including match play, officiating, and spectating, regardless of vaccination status.
- Masks with vents and bandanas are not acceptable coverings.
- In order to enter the facility for events prior to the league draft (skills exhibition), skills clinics, and open play, players will be required to present proof of vaccination OR proof of a negative COVID test taken in the prior 72 hours.
- Per CDC guidance, following a positive COVID diagnosis, we request that players notify the Director of Players, Lauren MacGowens (Lauren.MacGowens@gmail.com) AND abstain from attending all DCPVL matches and events for a minimum of 10 days.
- Following the league draft, a survey will be sent out to those who’ve been drafted to ask if they’ve been vaccinated. For those who indicate “no,” a list will be maintained to follow up for a weekly negative test. The survey will be mandatory to play.
- DCPVL will provide the following sanitizing supplies at a station on each court:
- Wipes to sanitize the ball and scorer's equipment between each set
- Hand sanitizer to disinfect hands between each set
- In order to avoid large group gatherings, only teams scheduled to compete and referee will be allowed in the facility.
- Suspension of the following match protocols:
- Handshakes, high fives, huddles, sharing whistles.
- Switching sides
