Giving Wednesday! Stretch your dollars further!

Today is Giving Wednesday! That means everyone who donates today at spsgives.org has a chance to win an extra $100 for a participating Give Local nonprofit of their choice. Gifts of every size make a difference and support our work in the community. The drawing will take place tomorrow and the Community Foundation of South Puget Sound will notify the winners by email! 5 winners will be drawn on Friday, November 12 and 5 winners will be drawn on Friday, November 19. Follow@TCFSPS on Facebook to watch the Bonus Wednesday drawings and tell donors to do the same!

Join us November 8-19th, as we come together with our community to raise funds for our Fresh from the Farm Guide with our Put Your Money Where Your Farms Are!’ Give Local Campaign! This year we are dedicating the money raised during Give Local towards farm listings and advertisements on behalf of farmers and farms in need of financial assistance. Farming is hard work and often does not leave a lot of time for marketing and promotion of their farm businesses and products. Our guide gives farmers a chance to showcase what and how they sell in our communities.

When you donate through Give Local, the ‘Bonus Fund’, a gift from the Dawkins Charitable Trust, boosts every donation, so your dollars do more to support the community you love.

Become a Give Local Champion!

Do you love the work we are doing? Do you see the Fresh from the Farm Guide as an invaluable resource to our farms, farmers, and local community? We are looking for people to become champions for our Give Local Campaign!

  • What is a Give Local Champion? A champion helps us spread the word about our Give Local Campaign by getting your friends and family to donate! Set a personal fundraising goal for our campaign.

  • What do I have to do?

    • Share our campaign link among your networks via, email, word of mouth, social media and any other creative ways you might think to get people donating.

    • Get your friends and family to share in their networks to help us by raising money or donating themselves for the Fresh from the Farm Guide.

    • Donate: If you are able, (but not required of champions) donate to our campaign yourself!

    • Make it personal! When you share the link among your networks, share a short story or testimonial about why our mission and work is important to you. Maybe your farm has been a recipient of a free listing or ad from us, share what that experience was like for you! Or you just love to support local farmers. If our guide is YOUR go to resource for your food and farm needs, then share why you love it to your friends and family!
