Dear <<First Name>>

If you are a member of Labour Against the Witchhunt, please make sure to attend our next online all-members’ meeting on Saturday November 27 at 6pm. We want to discuss with you the state of the witch-hunt and the future of our campaign.

The deadline for motions on the issues around ’The state of the witch-hunt and the future of LAW’ is Saturday November 20 - please email info@labouragainstthewitchhunt.org and try to keep your motion as short as possible.

We will be running this meeting as a webinar, which is slightly less ‘democratic’, but provides more security for comrades. Participants can not be seen by others, as their camera is off. If somebody wishes to speak, they can either do so with their camera switched off or on. Also, do feel free to change your name when registering for this event or 'rename' yourself in the meeting (but please do send us an email if you do so: info@labouragainstthewitchhunt.org). If you're having trouble with either, just send us a quick email and we can rename you.

All paid up members of LAW will now have received a Zoom registration link for this meeting via a separate email - please register asap.

In solidarity,

Jackie, Tina, Kevin, Stan, Tony and Steve

Jackie Walker and Graham Bash are Jewish anti-racist activists who spent years in the Labour Party yet were accused of antisemitism for standing up for the rights of Palestinians and People of Colour. Now, Bash has been expelled from the party, after Walker was too in 2019. In this interview with Canary co-founder Kerry-Anne Mendoza they speak candidly about how devastating this has been and what we all need to do to stand up against bullying and racism.
Wednesday 24 November
'Not the Forde Inquiry' film screening, followed by discussion with Graham Bash and Jackie Walker

Veteran left winger Graham Bash, recently expelled after 53 years in the Labour Party, introduces a screening of a remarkable film about corruption at the heart of the Labour Party. This is the film version of our successful event at the Rialto Theatre during Labour Party conference.

With the help of Ken Loach, Chris Williamson and deceased activist Dorothy Walker “Not The Forde Inquiry” explores shocking allegations of injustice, racism and the biggest purge in British political history.
The screening will be followed by a discussion of the way forward for the left.

The Not The Forde Inquiry film will be at 6.30pm on Wednesday 24 November. If you’ve already seen the film you can skip the screening and join us for the discussion at 7.30pm.
