CAME Affiliate Faculty Spotlight: José Valentino Ruiz
As an inaugural professor and head of Music Business & Entrepreneurship in the School of Music, Dr. José Valentino Ruiz works with students to develop research practices and produce music and media. This month the Society for Arts Entrepreneurship Education highlights a documentary of Ruiz's collaborative venture with five students that created multi-genre albums promoting cultural advocacy, social impact, and pandemic health awareness. Earlier this fall, Ruiz and percussionist Derris Lee teamed up on an "Exploration of Cross-Cultural Musics." Check out these short clips of their dynamic presentation.

Using data from the Cultural and Creative Cities Monitor, scholars at the Politecnico di Milano examined the effects of cities' cultural vibrancy and creative economy through a framework of regional production, revealing an important interplay with certain local conditions. Read more.
