REST API Workshop

NOV 11 | 4 PM APP LAB (SN 027)

Felipe Yanaga, one of our App Lab staff members, will be holding a workshop on creating a REST API with the use of databases and Java! Join us this Thursday (November 11th) at 4 pm in the App Lab (SN 027). You will learn a quick and easy way to utilize HTTP requests to access and use data, while also understanding the theoretical side of things. Not only will you be able to create your own REST API, but you will also be able to explain it to others. This will be very beginner friendly, so please don’t be scared to come and learn! The workshop will continue to be held on Thursday afternoons for the duration of the semester.

React Native Project

There's a new project this semester in the App Lab! Rhett Ferrin, an MBA student, is leading a group to develop a survey creation and distribution app to help make business communication between suppliers and manufacturers easier. We have just started development, using React Native for the front-end and will eventually work with Dustin, a software engineer at Adobe, to create the backend. This is a great project for anyone looking to get started in app development, especially if you're interested in business applications.
