With 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc and Merlot, and a little Petit Verdot, the Amelia is the quintessential Yarra Valley Bordeaux blend. Old vines that are are all dry farmed. Without irrigation, the roots bury deep for moisture. This coupled with the age of the vines provides incredible character, structure, intensity and elegance.

"Blackcurrant, blackberry, sarsaparilla/liquorice pastille, so much violet here, and spiced cedar oak. Medium-bodied, dark fruit with some redcurrant in the mix, tobacco and pencils, a little chew to gravelly tannin, fresh too, with a firm long finish." - Wine Front

Only a touch over 2.5 acres, but with 7,300 vines planted, the Tout Près vineyard at By Farr is one of the most densely planted sites in Australia. The soil quality and competition between the vines for nutrients results in smaller berries with more intense, lush qualities and age worthy structure. This is one of the most sought after Pinot Noirs in the world, grown right here in Victoria.
