Mary Andom is a graduate student in the Applied International Studies Master's Program at the University of Washington’s Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies. She has a keen interest in immigration and national security issues. She spent eight years working in multinational environments in Germany, Hungary, and Kyrgyzstan as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Air Force.
University of Washington's Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies combines the social sciences, humanities, and professional fields to forge interdisciplinary approaches to the understanding of our increasingly interconnected globe. And it does so by generating expertise in specific regions of the world and/or in comparative and transnational studies.

The
Jackson School’s commitment to regional, cross-cultural, and comparative studies extends well beyond its many formal academic programs. The School hosts six federally funded centers devoted to outreach and public education activities for teachers, businesses, and the general community. Each year, the School sponsors dozens of conferences, colloquia, and seminars featuring scholars, business, military, and diplomats from around the world.
