OKC TREE LIGHTING FESTIVAL
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 18 | 5PM 

One of the year’s most anticipated annual events, the Oklahoma City Tree Lighting Festival, will return for its 20th year on Thursday, November 18 at 5pm in Bricktown. This event will be a true kick-off to the holidays and our Downtown in December celebrations. The festival, which is free and open to everyone, will feature a showcase of talented and diverse performances celebrating the season, free family-friendly activities, photos with Santa Claus, and the traditional countdown to the lighting of the 20ft Christmas tree by Mayor David Holt. 

The OKC Tree Lighting also includes a Virtual Holiday Program which will debut on television and online Friday, November 26 at 5pm. You can also make a submission for a chance to have Santa read your name and Christmas wish during the Virtual Holiday Special.

LIGHTS ON BROADWAY ANNUAL EVENT
NOV 20, NOV 27, DEC 4, DEC 11 | 4PM - 7PM

Cruise down historic Automobile Alley for the district’s holiday open house and experience its stunning light display during the 6th annual Lights On Broadway event! The fun returns in 2021 for 4 Saturdays this season: November 20 and 27 and December 4 and 11.
Each Saturday from 4-7pm, various retail shops and restaurants will feature buzz-worthy window displays, in addition to pop-up activities, special promotions, and giveaways. Attendees will enjoy family-friendly programming along the sidewalks such as live music, balloon art, performances, photos with Santa Claus, and more. A DOG DAY IN DECEMBER
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 2 | 5:30PM 

Bring your pups out to the Midtown Mutts Dog Park (407 W. Park Pl) on Thursday, December 2 from 5:30-8pm for A Dog Day in December, a pet-themed holiday party!
You can purchase printed photos of Santa and your dogs on-site and enjoy snacks and drinks for the humans, complimentary “puppuccinos”, and a fun, festive atmosphere filled with furry friends. For more information and to purchase early bird tickets for Santa photos, visit downtownindecember.com.
SAINTS SANTA RUN
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 4 | 7:30AM 

Grab your costumes and running shoes, the Saints Santa Run is coming to Midtown! The run will take place on Saturday, December 4 and registration is now open.

Each year, our family-friendly holiday run brings all ages, and even pets, to downtown Oklahoma City for a festive 5K. The Santa Run went virtual in 2020 but will be in-person this year with a new route and new start/finish located at SSM Health – St. Anthony in Midtown. LYRIC'S A CHRISTMAS CAROL
NOVEMBER 17 - DECEMBER 23

One of Oklahoma’s favorite holiday traditions, Lyric's A Christmas Carol, returns for its 11th year, with performances taking place at Harn Homestead from November 17 through December 23.
Lyric’s cast creates a spectacular production sparking the holiday spirit in audiences of all ages. You’ll go from humbug to happy in one magical night under the stars. Co-directed by Lyric’s Producing Artistic Director Michael Baron and Associate Artistic Director Ashley Wells, the immersive production returns for another holiday season.

PAINTED DOOR'S 30 YEAR CELEBRATION
NOVEMBER 19 - NOVEMBER 21

CURBSIDE CHRONICLE

Make the holidays extra bright and positively impact your community by supporting Curbside Chronicle's Wrap Up Homelessness Campaign and Holiday Wreaths throughout November and December.

Each year, Curbside Chronicle and Curbside Flowers employ individuals transitioning out of homelessness to sell the unique gift wrap packages and create gorgeous wreaths of varying sizes and price points for all to enjoy.

The gift wrap will be available for purchase streetside through their Curbside vendors in green vests, during the Holiday Pop-Up Shops in Midtown, at Lights On Broadway, and online. Purchase a festive wreath in-store at Curbside Flowers and online at curbsideflowers.com. Wrapping paper and wreaths will be available throughout November and December. Downtown in December presented by Devon is a collection of holiday events and attractions that take place in downtown Oklahoma City throughout the holiday season. The event series, created by Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership, provides a central location for many community events put on by nonprofits and businesses for residents and visitors to enjoy. Many of the staple events and attractions have become important traditions within our city.
Kick-off the holiday season at the Oklahoma City Tree Lighting Festival being held in Bricktown on Thursday, November 18th at 5pm. The festival will include free family-friendly activities such as free photos with Santa Claus, balloon art, caricatures, a Magic Elf, and a Letters to Santa station. There will also be live performances from local acts taking place on stage. The Virtual Holiday Special will debut Friday, November 26th. The program will feature footage from the in-person festival, the lighting of the tree, additional holiday performances, and messages from special guests including Santa himself.
The following Saturday is the first in the four-week series of Lights On Broadway in Automobile Alley. Visit the district on November 20th & 27th and December 4th & 11th from 4-7pm to view beautiful lights, buzz-worthy window displays, pop-up activities, and special promotions. With over 600,00 lights, Automobile Alley is sure to put you in the holiday spirit.
Stay active during this holiday season and join us at the Saints Santa Run in Midtown on Saturday, December 4th at 7:30am. This festive 5k will take place throughout the district and is a fun way to stay fit with friends and family. Register now to be a part of this year’s race. Don’t forget about the pups! The Devon Ice Rink also returns for its 10th season in the Myriad Botanical Gardens in 2021! Downtown in December began in 2001 with a handful of events and has grown and evolved over the years, much like the downtown area, to include over 30 events and attractions. We are excited to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Downtown in December in 2021 and look forward to it being bigger and brighter than ever.
