RECAP: Canadian Boccia Championships

At this year’s 2021 Boccia Canadian Championships, Team BC had a lot of things to be proud of. Leading up to the Championships, our coaches Rodney Anderson, Sean Harrigan, and Lauren Swan (who would be experiencing their first championships in this role) prepared our athletes through virtual training sessions aside from one in person training opportunity before heading to Quebec.
Highlights from the event included a gold medal win from Hanif Mawji! Thank you to our coaches and athletes who worked together through these challenging times.

Women's Para Ice Hockey Camp

SportAbility welcomes women and girls to join us January 8-9th at North Surrey Ice Rink for a fun weekend of Para Ice Hockey! This camp will be a great opportunity for newcomers to learn about the sport through fun interactive games and skill development activities, and for experienced players to advance their game through skill development, conditioning, and scrimmage.

Time: Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 8-11am

Researchers at the University of Calgary are doing an important study to learn more about the injury, concussion, and participation experiences of individuals taking part in Adapted or Para Sport and Recreation Program(s) across Canada.
