A NOTE FROM PASTOR CARL
Hello Church!

This Sunday we will be gathering to worship our Merciful Father at a time of year when we should be made to reflect on exactly how desperately we need mercy. Remembrance Day is a time when we, as God’s people face a great paradox. Of all the people in the world, Christians should be aware of the profound importance of sacrifice of life as the price for peace, and yet the tragic wastefulness of war. We should feel the tension of wanting to honour the men and women who gave their lives in pursuit of peace and safety for their nations, and also feel the desire to weep at the senselessness of wars that can never secure peace. What is a Christian to do with this? On Sunday we will be taking some time to consider this and cry out to our God for mercy for our land while also thanking Him for his provision for us. Be sure to register since at the time of writing this I think there are only a few spots open! See you Sunday.

In Christ,
Pastor Carl

PRAISE ITEMS
Below is an update from Floyd and Pearl Siemens regarding their grandson, Zachary!  All glory to God!

Some weeks back I sent you an email requesting prayer for our grandson, Zachary.
Well, I am going to tell you, God is a God of HUGE miracles.  Zachary is now clean and sober 16 days.  He said that he went to hell using meth (he was injecting), and the Bible saved him.  He never wants to use again because he never wants to go to that hell again.  He did lose his housing end of October, and because he had also lost his job, it was next to impossible to find housing without bringing in an income.
We could not let him be homeless again, so we picked him up from Listowel on Sunday, and he is temporarily living with us.
Zachary is no longer the same boy we knew.  He has abandoned all things of the world and is completely surrendered to Jesus Christ and the God who saved his life.  He looks us in the eyes now when talking, he has been getting resumes out, is helpful around the house, and on & on.  We missed church on Sunday because we were in Listowel, but Floyd, Zachary, & I watched the service online in the evening, & Zachary was riveted.
All this is only because of God's power and the prayers that went up on Zachary's behalf.  And I'd like to express my heart felt thanks.  Zachary definitely has ongoing issues, mostly effects from the meth use.  At times I can tell the demons are still after him & telling him lies.  Sometimes I don't know what to say to calm him.  I know this is a journey he's on, and from my research, I understand that some paranoia will continue for the next 6 months to a year from the meth.  If I may once more solicit your prayers, especially for the protection of his mind, and that God would open his eyes to see the real truth.

Thank you so much,
Pearl
