Blue Wave Coalition, along with Guardians of the Glades,
were awarded "Community Service Organizations of the Year"
by the Inner City Youth Golfers' Inc. of Riviera Beach because of our community service efforts over the past year and a half.
We were truly honored to be in the company of so many
other outstanding organizations and individuals doing incredible
work in the community.
As a get-out-the-vote organization, we understand that
community engagement and voter engagement go hand in hand.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
2020 - 2021 Since April 2020, Blue Wave volunteers have been lending helping hands in Riviera Beach in numerous ways.
Food Distribution site at Wells Recreation Center
Every Tuesday and Friday for 10 months, dedicated volunteers packed residents' trunks with much needed groceries.
Vaccination Center at Wells Recreation Center
Volunteers assisted residents in getting their COVID-19 vaccines from the Riviera Beach Fire Department.
Operation No Food Gap Urban Farm
Since April, volunteers have been at the Farm, located on Blue Heron Blvd. next to Barracuda Bay, each Saturday morning to help with planting, weeding, and harvesting vegetables that are free to residents of Riviera Beach.

Lindsey Davis Senior Center Community Garden
Wednesday mornings, volunteers help with planting and weeding as needed to provide local seniors with vegetables. *This outreach is ongoing - come join us!
Other fun community events included Trunk or Treat at Gaines Park, the Halloween Festival at The Urban Farm and the Thanksgiving Turkey giveaway
at the Lindsey Davis Senior Center.
Below are snapshots of all the amazing volunteers engaging with
the community and having fun doing it!
In November, we began our door-to-door canvass outreach in several neighborhoods in Riviera Beach. So far, we've knocked on over 300 doors and had great conversations with residents about local resources available to them and upcoming elections in their district! Our focus is voter registration, with an emphasis on voter education, voting plans, and local issues that are important to residents. We have been successful in registering new voters, enrolling residents in vote-by-mail, and even recruiting others to canvass with us!
This has also been our team's opportunity to train for canvass outreach in 2022 and we have not only had a great time with fellow volunteers and potential voters, but we have learned a ton.
Now...let's canvass!
We are excited to kick off our 2022 canvass outreach in Riviera Beach in January, just ahead of the January 11th Primary for
State House Rep. District 88 and General Election for
U.S. Congressional District 20.
Join us at either or both events below. We will have a comprehensive training session prior to each canvass and provide all materials, water, and snacks. Meeting location to be provided upon registration.
Unable to canvass with us this time? Not to worry! We will be canvassing around Palm Beach County throughout 2022, as well as texting, post carding, and following up with the voters we register on a regular basis! There is plenty of work to be done in order to turn our state Blue in 2022. It will take all of us, doing all we can, as often as we can to elect Democrats that share our values.
