Last Day for Veterans Day Photo Submissions

We are creating a video tribute to our EDS family members who are veterans or current service members. If you want your family member's photo included in this tribute, please email Susan Huff with the person's photograph, name, branch of service, and your student's name(s). The deadline for receiving photographs of veterans is today, Monday, November 8.

Veterans Day Assembly This Friday

We will host our annual Veterans Day assembly on the Trustee Commons of the Walton Way Campus on Friday, November 12, at 8:30 A.M. For those of you who may not know the Trustee Commons by name, it is the artificial turf field on the back playground.

Parents are welcome to join us for this event as planned. Should rain or wet conditions force us to move the Assembly into the gym, unless your child is performing that morning (classes or individual's parents will be notified by their teachers), we encourage parents to watch the chapel via livestream instead of attending in person due to limited space.

To prepare for this event, please have a family discussion about your relatives who have served or may be currently serving in our country's military branches: Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy. Before the assembly, we will have banners posted outside the library for students to sign in honor or memory of family members who have served in the United States military.

During the assembly, the music representing each branch of service will play. We will ask students, faculty, and parents to stand to honor their family member(s) when we play the music for that branch of service.

We look forward to having you join us for a meaningful Veteran's Day Assembly. The assembly will be recorded and shared with the EDS community, and there will be photos and a tribute included in the Panther Post to be published on Monday, November 15.

EDS Fall Festival THIS WEEKEND!

The Fall Festival committee would like to remind everyone that online armband sales end Wednesday and Sweet Shoppe donations are due by Friday! The Sweet Shoppe committee would also like candy donations (everything but chocolate) that can be dropped off at the front office. Adult volunteers for class games and general sign up are also needed if you are available.

Fall Festival will take place on Saturday, November 13th from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. on our Walton Way Campus. There will be games, inflatables, concessions, prizes, contests, balloon animals, face painting, and much more!

For our new families, Fall Festival is our largest family event of the year and a wonderful way to meet some of the faces that your child sees on a regular basis. Fall festival is also a good time to let prospective families learn a little more about EDS and our campus. If you know of a prospective family that would like an invitation to Fall Festival, please email Karen Lilly.

Children ages 3 and up will need an armband for entry into fall festival and they are now available to preorder until Wednesday, November 10th for $20/each. They will be $25 the day of the event. Adult entry to Fall Festival is complimentary.

Publix Partners for the EDS Association

Publix has a tremendous school partners program that the EDS Association has benefited from greatly over the years.  To date, the EDS Association has received over $55,000 from the program.  It’s simple - if you already have a Publix account, add Episcopal Day School Association - Augusta Georgia, as your school partner of choice.  Each time that you check out, enter the phone number you have linked to your account into the key pad. That’s all there is to it.  The Association will receive a check quarterly.

Amazon Smile for the Foundation for EDS

The Foundation for EDS is the school’s foundation for the development of the Flowing Wells Campus. Are you an Amazon shopper?  If so, you can make all of the same purchases through the Amazon smile program and a percentage of your purchase charges will be redirected back to the Foundation for EDS.  This program works seamlessly if you’re a Prime member too, so there’s no reason not to. Please, mark the Episcopal Day School Foundation of Augusta as your charitable organization of choice and be sure to make you purchases through smile.amazon.com.
