ABOUT TMC    CONNECT     PRAYER
This week at TMC:
"Then what advantage has the Jew? Or what is
the value of circumcision?"
"What if some were unfaithful? Does their faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God?"
"But if our unrighteousness serves to show the righteousness of God, what shall we say?
That God is unrighteous to inflict wrath on us?"
"Are we Jews any better off?"
                             Romans 3:1, 3, 5, 9

The words above reveal 4 questions that the Apostle Paul anticipates a religious-minded Jew might ask in response to what he declared in chapters 1 and 2 of Romans. Since chapter 1:17, Paul has been pushing to demonstrate that all mankind, not just the Gentiles, but the Jews also, are equally guilty before God. Apart from a Divine Deliverance, all humanity will equally suffer the wrath of God for sin. Granted, focusing on this reality is not the "uplift" many expect to receive when they attend a worship gathering. Yet, if we are going to move through the text of Scripture, we must deal with each passage as it really is, so we can discover the fullness of God's message. In short, God's message in Romans 1:17- Romans 3:20 is that the totality of humanity needs Divine Deliverance from sin or we shall all likewise perish.

After our Thanksgiving Celebration on Sunday, November 21, we will return to Romans 3:21-31 and begin to find Paul bringing out the GOOD NEWS of The Gospel which speaks of the Divine Deliverance we all need. So, hang in there, the good news of God's grace is just around the corner. Till then, we are in Romans 3:1-20, looking at Critical Questions From A Religious Mind.

I hope to connect with you in person this Sunday, but if you cannot attend in person, I invite you to connect with the gathering online through our website: www.themissiondsm.org or The Mission Church Facebook page.

Have a blessed weekend!

A Special Men's Breakfast

All men are invited on Saturday, Nov. 20 at 8 AM in the Community Room for a hot breakfast and a special session! We'll be watching a short conference video from the National Disciple-making Forum and then some of our men will be sharing their experience after attending that event. We believe you'll be encouraged by the video, the testimony of these men, and the small group discussion time as you seek to walk with Jesus as a man of God in your season of life. Bring a friend!
