Improving the customer experience

Checkout

💲📱 The checkout page has been improved to be responsive to narrow mobile screens.

Groups

🐛 Fixed a bug where hubs on a Group page were displaying unconditionally. Now only shops set to 'Visible' will appear and shops without an active order cycle will be greyed out.

Invoices

When a business address is filled in, it will replace the original address on invoices. This is important for legal compliance for invoicing for enterprises with a headquarters located differently to their pickup address. Got to Enterprise Settings > Business Details > Business Address.

Improving the back office

Notify Producers Email

📧👩🏻‍🌾 The Notify Producer Email now includes Customer Names when the Customer Names in Report option is checked. Go to Enterprise Settings > Shop Preferences and scroll to the bottom of the page.

Customer Relationships

It's a great time for producers to strengthen relationships with customers, particularly for Producers that sell through hubs. Try sending tailored communication to shoppers by placing a message with the produce ordered, you could send a short note of gratitude, a recipe they could try or 'news from the farm'.

Payment and Shipping Methods & Enterprise Fess

🐞🐞 We fixed bugs where payment method, shipping method or enterprise fee values containing non numeric characters resulted in a snail - system error message.

Reports

🐛 Fixed a bug where the "Amount" column on the Delivery Report did not reflect changes to the order total - it displayed the initial order total. Now the Delivery Report reflects the changes to the order total when the order is edited.

Products

❗️📸 We now have a user friendly error message that explains that an image for a product cannot be saved if it is in the wrong format rather than just a snail - system error message.

🥬
🔗 Now if you insert a link to an external website in your product description field, the link will open in a new window and the customer will remain in the shop window to avoid taking the customer away from the shop.

Orders

🦋 Fixed a bug where orders were not sorting correctly by 'Total'.

Tagging and Tag Rules
Did you know that you can use Tagging and Tag Rules to make your Order Cycle visible to only certain customers, such as a wholesale Order Cycle for your wholesale customers. Or a Shipping or Payment Method visible only to certain customers so you could provide a discount to volunteers.

In this video Renata from our Customer Support team explains how to use Tag Rules. Please reach out with any questions.
Festive Season Guide
In case you missed it, here is a link to our Festive Season Guide - full of ideas on how you can gear up for the holidays.

Victorian logistics
We're developing an integration where orders in your online shop can automatically create a service lodgement to get delivered by Open Road in Metro Melbourne, North East Victoria, Central Victoria and Gippsland.

Email us if you would you like us to look into this for your Open Food Network shop.

If you think something has broken because of this release, please let us know ASAP! We can only investigate the bugs we know about, and the sooner we hear about them the easier it is to pin down their source.

We've also really appreciated those of you who have touched base with us to ask if we can help improve a process or add a feature. We can't always change things immediately, but often we can help! We also use your feedback to prioritise which features get built - if you don't tell us you need it, we don't know to build it!
