Last newsletter I shared with you that we were hosting the Florida Catholic Conference Visiting Team on campus for the final stage of our 7-year re-accreditation process. I am very pleased to share with you that, after 18 months of preparation and a rigorous 2-day visit, Royal Palm Academy has been recommended for continued full accreditation with Florida Catholic Conference. We also received several noted commendations regarding our program!
The school visit represented the culmination of an extraordinary amount of work by our Board members, teachers, staff, parents, and students. It may seem a long time ago, but we began the self-study process for this visit in the summer of 2020, when uncertainty and chaos surrounding Covid was the highest. While managing that extraordinary additional stress, our teachers and staff successfully captured the beauty, wonder, creativity, and passion of our amazing Royal Palm Academy program. The visiting team was incredibly pleased and impressed with our school.
I am very proud of our Board members, our teachers, and our staff. They spent countless hours, evenings, and weekends, over a year, preparing our school for re-accreditation. All while keeping our students safe during Covid, and still performing at the highest levels in the classroom. These efforts are probably invisible to most parents and students, but what is clearly visible is our teacher’s love, passion, sacrifice, and enthusiasm for your children and our beloved school. Well done!
We return to a normal week of school this week, and several events planned for next week. For our Grandparents, please let us know if you have not received an invitation in the mail for our Grandparents Day program on Thursday, November 18. Next week we also have picture re-takes (Nov 15), Book Fair (Nov 16-18), and culminating with our annual Lilly Pulitzer Fashion Show (Nov 19) next week.
