FROM OUR WARD REPRESENTATIVE
We have been very fortunate to have a lovely new park area created in Montreal Ave. Big thanks must go to Paddy and to Dave. We desperately needed a secure boundary fence and we managed to get much more so it was decided to make the best of it. There are benches and a refuse bin and we are holding thumbs for some more items to make it a safe and fun place to take children.
Another HUGE thank you must go to Tina, Carlo and Tony Penso for creating the beautiful flower beds around the tress and for carrying buckets of water to keep it all alive.
Residents visiting the park are welcome and encouraged to weed the flower beds and to pick up any fallen sticks and create a border round the beds. Let us know if you would like to do more.....
Signage will be going up sometime soon and residents will be asked to keep dogs on leads from about 10am - 5pm (to be confirmed) in order to make it a safe place for children. Outside those times dogs can be off lead and owners will also be asked to please pick up their pets poop - a bin will installed.
The park will be locked at night
