We're here to help you find the perfect volunteering opportunity to enable you to fulfill your potential and support the great work of organisations in our communities. Our Tuesday volunteering drop-in is back. Please feel free to come and join us between 10am and 12.30pm at the Boulevard Centre for a chat and a brew.
Our colleagues at Spring North have developed a Community Ambassadors Programme, which aims to bring people together who want to make a positive change for the wider community living in BwD.
What they offer
► Increase your knowledge on BwD heritage and its diverse communities.
► Learn how to develop social action projects to create harmony and well-being for our residents.
► Gain confidence, negotiation and leadership skills whilst building new friendships.
► Enhance your CV and increase employment/venture opportunities with this accredited course.
► Increase your network with people from education, health, business, and community sectors.
► Have fun cooking dishes from around the world, food box with ingredients provided.
► £100 funding to start your social action project including ongoing support for funding streams.
► Take part in a free DNA ancestry test kit to trace your heritage.
All this for only 2 hours of your time a week.
This is a ten-week programme with two weeks independent learning between January and March next year. Sessions will be held in the evenings from 6 to 8 pm.
