NEW Regions4's Report for COP26

Raising ambitions on climate adaptation

Lessons learnt and contributions of regional governments

Regions4 just launched today at COP26 a new report showcasing how regional governments have developed, implemented and raised the ambitions of their adaptation plans, and climate-resilient actions, within the past 5 years, based on regions’ best practices and innovations.
Produced in collaboration with the Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3), the report highlights the importance of going beyond the “business as usual”, looking at integrated adaptation strategies that include other actors, sectors, and those most marginalized, and generate resourceful means of economic and social development, as well as financing.
The report includes 11 best practices, case studies of success stories from members such as: Basque Country, Quebec, Gossas, Cross River State, Mancomunidad Regional de los Andes, São Paulo, CONGOPE, Jalisco, Catalonia, Wales, and South Australia.
The report also provides key recommendations for COP26.
