Sparring Practice on Tuesdays

All Tuesday classes (at 4:00, 5:00, 6:00 and 7:00 for Juniors and for Juniors and Adults) will have rank-appropriate sparring and sparring drills. This training is in the regular classes. Sign up for regular classes here.

Students who have fighting gear should bring it to the sparring classes. Students will need a complete set of gear if they plan on competing in sparring. We have fighting gear available for purchase.

Competition training on Sunday 11/21

We had competition training on Sunday and everyone who came had fun and showed good progress!

We will have another session on 11/21 at the school at 10:30am - 12:00. These sessions are open to all Juniors and Adults, and students do not have to compete in order to attend. Sign up for Sunday competition training class here.

Students who have fighting gear should bring it to the sparring classes. Students will need a complete set of gear if they plan on competing in sparring. We have fighting gear available for purchase.

Change for all Mighty Lions classes on Monday 11/22 & Tuesday 11/23

On the Monday and Tuesday of that week (Monday 11/22 and Tuesday 11/23) Mighty Lions classes will be held outside at the taekwon-do school because the construction crew will be rebuilding the wooden platform that makes up most of the floor in Choi, the Mighty Lions classroom.

Classes will be held at the usual times: 4:00, 4:45 and 5:25. We will leave the online signup open as usual but students can also just drop in for outdoor classes.

We are happy that things are progressing and we look forward to everything being completed and back to the normal clean and bright space we know and love from before Hurricane Ida. We intend to be able to hold classes indoors starting on Monday 11/29.

Thanksgiving Holiday Hours

There will be no classes from Wednesday 11/24 through Sunday 11/27 because of the Thanksgiving Holiday. We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend.

5th Annual Founders Championship

We are going to the 5th Annual Founders Championship which is being held in honor of Supreme Grandmaster Bok Man Kim. The competition will be held on Saturday, 12/4/2021 at the OYO Hotel in East Hanover, NJ.

The competition is open to Mighty Lions, Juniors and Adults. Everyone can compete in patterns and board breaking, and Junior and Adults can compete in sparring as well. Masks are not required while students are competing.

We will be holding training sessions to prepare students for sparring, details on these sessions are below.
