On November 11th, Canadians have a valued tradition of remembering and honouring the sacrifices made by our veterans to protect our freedoms. It is an important day for all of us and I encourage everyone to find a way to reflect upon the price that others have paid.
Owen and I typically try to be out in the beautiful forest on our mountain bikes enjoying our favourite pastime. We stop at 11:11 for a moment of silence to reflect on how privileged we are to live in this country.
I believe we do ourselves, our families, and our fellow citizens a disservice when we participate in the breakdown of relationships over differences of opinions or different perceptions.
