Tomorrow, Wednesday 11/10, is "Garden Hour with Nella Mae" class at 6:30pm on Zoom. Except this time, Cindy Frick & Cathy Nowak will be leading the class on composting with worms.

Winter farmstand?! Nella Mae's Farmstand will be open this winter with eggs, baked goods, coffee and our free food pantry. Read on to find out how to sign up for bread club and use and/or donate to our pantry.

Winter farmstand! Bread, Coffee, Eggs, Free Food Pantry
This year we plan to keep the farmstand open through the winter. Thanks to Amy & Jason Jayne helped me insulate the stand so it won't free in there. Dick Kenton helped get electricity in there this spring, so it is ready to go.
Please feel free to take what you need and share what you have in the farmstand food pantry. We offer non-perishable foods, books, games, magazines, and more.
If you're not signed up for the Teahouse Bakes email list, you should be! You can sign up for baker Sarah West's weekly bread club or COOKIE CLUB, find out about holiday specials, and enjoy her whole grain (but not hippie baking whole grain) delicacies. Click here to sign up.

- Eggs from Cove neighbors
- Baked goods from Tea House Bakes (deliveries Tues & Fri)
I will also have occasional greens such as chard and kale in the farmstand.

Upcoming Class: Vermiculture--Worm Composting with Cindy & Cathy
We had a great composting class on Oct 6. If you want to watch the recording or check out the handout, you can see all of them here.
I thought I'd follow it up with a class about worm composting, aka vermiculture. Our resident experts and worm wranglers are Cindy Frick and Cathy Nowak. They will join us on Zoom Wed, Nov 10 from 6:30-7:30.
Vermiculture is using worms to process and decompose your food and garden waste. Worm castings (manure) are excellent organic fertilizer for your garden and soil. Worms are fun to keep and they break down your food waste quickly.

Upcoming booster and vaccine clinics:
- No clinic Veteran’s Day
- Drop-In Clinic Friday, 11/12 at CHD from 10am-2pm
- Drive-Thru Thursday, 11/18 at Fairgrounds from 9am-3pm
- Drop-In Clinic Friday, 11/19 at CHD from 10am-2pm
- Thanksgiving week: No vaccine events, but we will have appointments available during the week.
Pfizer BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine for children 5-11 years old are now available at CHD. The vaccine will be available at this Friday's Drop-In Clinic or by appointment.
The following groups are eligible for booster doses ≥6 months after their last dose of Moderna or Pfizer
- All people aged 65 years or over
- Residents aged 18 years or over living in long-term care settings .
- People aged 18 years or over years with underlying medical conditions.
- People aged 18 years or over who live or work in a high-risk setting.
- People aged 18 years or over who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least 2 months ago.
