Cairn Connect—our new alumni networking (and much more) platform—is off and running. This month we will launch this same platform to our students. This means we get one step closer to enhanced alum to alum networking, but also, you being available to current students looking for some advice.

It is quite interesting—indeed, exciting—to consider the vast array of careers represented.

And there have been some Kodak moments, too. Just the other day, an alum from 1950 created his Cairn Connect profile, but when he went to select his graduation year, he found that the earliest year to select was 1951. We got that squared away, and now he's off and running. The fact that graduates from 71 years ago are still seeking to engage professionally is quite fresh.

For those hoping to hire current students (I know they'd like that, too!), check out this article on the Alumni LinkedIn page. I have shared some behaviors most likely to result in your success; as usual, some are counter-intuitive to what one may expect.

On a different, but also deeply spiritually encouraging note, you may want to take a listen to our annual School of Divinity Thanksgiving chapel, where professors share things for which they are most grateful. We could all do with some more gratitude, could we not? Subscribe to our chapel podcast to get the alert when this airs. It will be soon.
