Metro IAF's vision to build 50,000 homes in areas where we organize is being profiled nationally in the NY Times and Washington Post. These stories will help us advance our vision.
We are standing on the shoulders of The Nehemiah Transformation, a miracle campaign that began in Metro NY and East Brooklyn Congregations that built 4,500 homes and created nearly $2 billion in equity for first-time primarily Black and Brown homeowners. United Power for Action and Justice in Chicago is fighting to build 2,000 Nehemiah style homes on the south and west sides of the city. Many other Metro IAF/IAF affiliates have a similar vision.
Metro IAF, is part of the Industrial Areas Foundation, the nation’s first and largest network of multi-faith community organizations. Our member organizations have deep-roots in the political and financial power centers in the eastern United States and Europe.
